KBRN, Makassar: Efforts to build a sustainable future in Indonesia are becoming increasingly tangible through the collaboration between PT Emerging Solar Indonesia and Disaster Climate Tech Hub. The signing of an MoU at Hotel Ibis Makassar on Thursday (August 14, 2025) marks the starting point of a partnership focused on developing low-carbon and environmentally friendly projects.
Fanny Susanti, Operations and Finance Manager of PT Emerging Solar Indonesia, highlighted that the green economy sector presents significant opportunities for sustainable growth. This collaboration is designed to identify, finance, and implement green energy projects across various regions in Indonesia.
"In addition to generating a positive impact on the environment, the green economy sector directly contributes to improving people’s quality of life. We aim to be actively involved in both short-term and long-term projects," Fanny stated.
The focus of this partnership includes financing renewable energy projects, managing climate risks, and fostering innovation in environmentally friendly technologies. Disaster Climate Tech Hub is widely recognized for its active role in developing technology-based solutions for disaster management and climate change adaptation.
This collaboration is expected to serve as a model of public–private partnership in supporting Indonesia’s national energy transition agenda towards building green cities. Fanny added that the next stage of this collaboration will be officially launched at the national level next week in Jakarta, marking the commencement of several pilot projects.
With the support of multiple stakeholders, this initiative is believed to strengthen Indonesia’s commitment to achieving its low-carbon and sustainable development targets.
